Climate.

Stretching from 3° above the equator to about 35° south of it, below the tropic of the Capricorn, Brazil is blessed with a sunny climate. The climate in Pipa is equatorial with an annual average temperature of 28°C, and the area is proud of to have 300 days of sun per year. The water is around 27°C all year and there is a constant breeze from the sea that helps to keep the humidity under control.

The rains appear in general in January, February and between June & August. Seasons are inverted versus the US and Europe, meaning that summer is December to February and winter is June-August.

Brazil also is situated way below the hurricane belt; and the absence of any volcanoes or fault lines also means earthquakes are virtually non-existent. Hurricanes? Earthquakes? Epidemics? Tsunamis? Not in Brazil!*

Hurricane`

* Never say never: in 2004, Brazil actually experienced its first ever hurricane, with wind speeds up to 150km, in the far south of the country. See image.
